The best time to travel to Egypt
The best time to travel to Egypt is from October to April, when the weather is cool and pleasant. These months are ideal for sightseeing, desert tours and cultural visits in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and at the Pyramids of Giza. Spring (March to May) brings mild to warm weather, ideal for less crowded cultural tours, although sandy winds can occasionally blow.
Summer (June to September) is very hot, especially inland and in the desert regions, but perfect for beach holidays and diving on the Red Sea coast, in places such as Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada and Alexandria. Overall, the months from October to April offer the best conditions for a trip through Egypt.
