The best time to travel to Vietnam
The best time to visit Vietnam varies by region. The north (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Sapa) is ideal from October to April, with cool, dry weather. Spring (March to May) brings mild temperatures and blossoming landscapes.
Central Vietnam (Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An) has warm, dry weather from February to August – perfect for beach holidays and cultural sightseeing. In the south (Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc), December to April are the best months, with warm, pleasant weather during the dry season.
Overall, October to April offers the best conditions for travelling through the whole country. Each region has its own climate quirks, but these months bring pleasant temperatures and less rain.
