Good to know

The best time to travel to Scotland

The best time to visit England is from May to September, when the weather is warm and pleasant. Spring (March to May) brings mild temperatures and landscapes in bloom – ideal for visiting gardens and hiking.

Summer (June to August) is perfect for outdoor activities, festivals and trips to the beach, but it’s also peak season, with more tourists around. Autumn (September to November) brings vibrant colours and fewer tourists – great for city sightseeing and cultural events.

Winter (December to February) is cold and damp but ideal for museums, theatre and festive Christmas events, despite the shorter days. Overall, the months from May to September offer the best conditions for a trip through England.
